The doctors said i might be... what does it mean?

i went to the doctors recently and they said ther was a possiblity i was (i really don't know how to spell it) is it: aneamic? its pronounced like a-nee-mic. what does that mean? i didn't get time to ask. i know is should have done- but maybe i'm just stupid. i'm only 12 and i went to the doctors on my own. any ideas at all?
