Would i still have to go to court as a witness if i didnt remember what happened? (uk)?

im due at court in july as a witness but was rather drunk at the time of the incident and dont remember what actualy happened, will i still be made to go? could they not just go on the info on the statement i made at the time? it was a indecent assault against myself. any help much appreciated!! :)
