Whats wrong in wearing jeans and T shirt while going to office in a tropical country like India where formal?

At the workplace its always best to wear formals so people are not distracted and retain their professionalism. Google allows people to dress as they please. But, the work places in India can never be so casual about it. Traditional Indian wear such as Dhoti is more suited to the Indian climate than stuffy jeans. So would men prefer to wear them? Men these days do not much care for that style of dressing. Times change, and so do we. So we choose western formals or Indian formals, semi-formals (such as sari, salwar for women).
